There were so many things to do here when you compare to other park-based cities. As a traveler, food is what makes a place stand out Alhambra has it covered.

The community in Alhambra is also vibrant which makes it extra special for anyone visiting this city.

you can find a variety of foods throughout the city from different cultures. in this article, I will walk you through 15 different things to do in Alhambra, California. let’s get started shall we,

Story park is located in between north chapel avenue and the north story pi. You can also reach story park through south Almansor street. If you struggle to find this place, ask for the Joslyn center, a senior citizen center.

Even though the story park is smaller compared to the other gardens in Alhambra, it has some of the best facilities for athletes. This park has two tennis courts, and the funny thing is that the story park has a zig-zag pathway. When you visit, it will leave you confused.

It is a great place to relax and watch your kids play, or you can just lie down on the grass. If you have small kids, this is where to visit to let them roam around freely since the park is small. So you will not get intimidated as well.

The picnic and bbq area is not that huge, but it’s manageable.

Louisiana Dim sum house is a popular spot in Alhambra. You can find this place on the East Main street of Alhambra. It’s located between south 5th street and south 6th street. Ask for the ups store or the chase bank, and you can find this place easily.

Nobody can say no to proper traditional Chinese dishes. That’s what Louisiana dim sum house is all about. They give you the best experience when it comes to Chinese dishes. You should try the colorful soup dumplings, which are a must-try item in dim sum house.

I had the har gow and shumai; they were terrific. The portion size of the dim sum house blew my mind. They were very generous. They make the experience more enjoyable by making your order through a QR code that they provide, and the order will get to your table.

I would say that you will be taking home leftovers(they are that good).

When it comes to customer service in Alhambra city, you cannot beat this bakery. Jessica was amazing. I had tea and some pastries; they melted in my mouth so fast. All the beverages are delicious. You cannot go wrong with any choice that you make here. Check out their sea salt coffee if you are confused with all their options.

They suggested that I try taro and brioche, which were incredible. I heard that they also serve birthday cakes. If you like hotdogs, this is a great place to start.

8. Sichuan impression

If you ask about valley blvd throughout Alhambra, the one place people will direct you to is the Sichuan impression. It’s a great place for date nights. It is located next to south Raymond avenue and south eithel avenue. If you find it hard to find this place, ask for the java house or B&B lock and security.

You can find the parking lot at the back of the Sichuan impression. You should try the garlic stir fry, which is my favorite out of all the dishes from this spot. The ambiance of this place is what makes people come here again and enjoy the great food.

I also enjoyed their delicious mao cai and lamb toothpick skewers which are pretty good. If you don’t like a lamb, you have an option to try pork dishes as well. You will not be left out. Ah, man! Writing this even makes me crave their food again.

9. Yoshinoya Alhambra

When it comes to Japanese food in Alhambra, yoshinoya is known for it. It is located in the south Marengo road when you take a left on the west mission road or front street.

If parking is significant to you, then this is the place to have your dates. It’s a great Japanese restaurant that will suit anyone. It doesn’t matter if you are a vegan or a meat-eater; this place has it all.

The portion size is what got me excited about yoshinoya. I got the sizeable original beef bowl which was fantastic, along with a bowl of BBQ beef. They also have teriyaki varieties as well. For a reasonable price, this is an excellent place for lunch and dinner. Out of all the restaurants, this is the one place where they offer you coupons, which have long expiration dates.

Chengdu taste is another place in Alhambra that’s always bussing. It is located on south 9th street and in between south 8th street on the valley blvd. They offer all three options to dine in, takeaway, and delivery at your designated spot. If you find it hard to reach this place, ask for the Alhambra podiatric medical center, it’s just opposite to that.

This place will be exciting if you are visiting for the first time because of the type of food they serve. It’s the most authentic restaurant in Alhambra.  My favorites are toothpick lamb, dan dan noodles, and garlic argen lettuce. If you are going for the first time, try flavored chicken in chili sauce and boiled fish.

One dish that you should not forget to try would be the green beans with soy sauce. It was extraordinary.

Alhambra has people from diverse cultures. The international community is thriving as well. When it comes to Mexican food in Alhambra, you can find Pepe’s restaurant mentioned by everyone because it’s the best in town. It is located two blocks from Chengdu taste on west san marina street.

Pepe’s is a popular restaurant in Alhambra, and you can find great food here for breakfast and lunch. It opens early so you can pick up your food here. I enjoyed their hard shell tacos, and the shredded meat was juicy. Don’t forget to try their breakfast burrito machaca, and it was terrific with red salsa.

If you are just looking for a snack, check out their green chile cheese fries at least, they were out of this world in taste.

Savoy kitchen is one of the most sought-after snacking places in Alhambra as it provides diverse food options. It is located in the valley blvd road opposite the Kang Kang food court. If you find it hard to get to this place, ask for the madex spa and supplies, you will be directed to this restaurant.

Some of the foods I tried here were Hainan chicken rice, and they served it with three sauces. It was amazing. The pasta is also excellent, and it’s a highly recommended place when you ask for food experiences in Alhambra. You only have to worry about the seating situation, and sometimes they have only limited seats.

This place is more or less like a takeout joint but serves excellent food.  You can park your car for free in the nearby parking lot as well. The curry beef stew was highly recommended to try.

13. Daikokuya Monterey park

Daikokuya Monterey park is a place that might have a park in its name, but it’s a place that serves fantastic ramen. Even though this place has limited seating, it offers great Raman to people in a hurry. You get both curbside pickup and delivery. Daikokuya is located on Garvey Avenue, right next to the ralphs.

This minimalist Raman restaurant was my favorite among all restaurants in Alhambra. I ate Raman, fried rice,  fried squid legs, and ice green tea. I cannot be happier with my order; the taste was extraordinary. You can find underground parking in Daikokuya as well, which is a bonus.

There are options for vegans as well; the vegan ramen and the tofu nuggets are a must-try. Although I don’t know how they make these broths in Daikokuya, they are what makes everything stand out.

14. Michoacana

A dedicated ice cream place, which people of Alhambra adore, that’s Michoacan for you. It’s located on the west ramona road right near Granada park.

This ice cream place is all that I need when I am struggling with my emotions. The staffs are so friendly, and they take care of you well. I felt like a kid walking through a candy store when I entered here. The elote corn, micholada, and pink lady were outstanding. I also tried their funnel cake with ice cream as toppings, and man, it was good.

If you think you will buy one and leave, you are wrong, my friend; this is a trap and absolute trap if you are a sweet lover.

15. Aloha food factory

As I mentioned before, Alhambra is genuinely diverse; you have the aloha food factory, which is a fantastic Hawaiian restaurant. It has every Hawaiian dish you will crave for. It is located next to Cabrillo avenue and nearby an eye clinic.

I just want to go straight into the dishes when I talk about this place. Kalua pork is just a must-try along with the loco moco. If you don’t get anything else from here, try these.  Spam musubi, cheese fries, and Hawaiian shaved ice are other dishes I was told to try and fell in love with.

Some other dishes that you can try are the Portuguese sausage and the small mac pancake. This place made my day. I will be visiting again.
