It’s wedding season, and there are so many decisions to make! Unfortunately, one of the most important decisions you’ll have to make is where will your special day take place. In Southern California, there are tons of options for a venue, depending on what you’re looking for in terms of size and style.

We’ve compiled a list of 14 venues that we think would be perfect for any bride-to-be or groom-to-be who wants their big day to be out in the sun with all their friends and family around them. 

1. The Bacara

The Bacara is a luxury resort perched on the cliffs of Pchum Ben in Goleta, California. So if you’re looking for that stunning coastal backdrop, then look no further! You can choose from one of their many outdoor areas to host your big day. If you’re an outdoorsy bride who wants to have her photos with horses or just fresh air, this venue gives you plenty of options like the garden courtyard and golf course centerpieces.

You can also customize your private dining experience in one of the many restaurants on site. There’s no shortage of options, and if you’re feeling under the weather and need a light meal, then The Resort at Pelican Hill has plenty of healthy choices for you to choose from.

2. The Saguaro

If you’re looking for a venue that will be unforgettable, then The Saguaro in Palm Springs is a great option! Not only does it have the most unbelievable backdrop of the Coachella Valley Mountains with palm trees and beautiful landscaping, but they also offer tons of packages that your guests are sure to love.

You can choose from one of their BBQ or Honky-Tonk barbeques with live entertainment for your outdoor wedding, or if you’re planning an indoor ceremony, they have several private event rooms on-site with private bars and dance floors. 

3. Descanso Gardens

If you’re a nature-lover, then Descanso Gardens is an excellent location for your wedding. These historic botanical gardens have tons of different areas to set up the ceremony area and reception. If you have a smaller guest list, they have options to have it outdoors with an array of plants around, so it feels like you’re right in the middle of everything! However, if you decide to host it indoors, there are three ballrooms on site as well, so your guests will be surrounded by greenery, even if they’re inside enjoying their time with you, celebrating all the love in the world.  

Some of our favorite foods on site are the bacon-wrapped dates, cobbler crepes, and mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese. There are plenty of options for everyone, so you’re sure to find something that your guests will love!

4. Bluff Plantation House

If you’re looking for a venue that will be unforgettable, then Bluff Plantation House in Westlake Village is a great option! Not only does it have one of the most breathtaking backdrops of all, the Santa Monica Mountains with lush green foliage showcasing the mountains in the background, but it also offers tons of packages that your guests are guaranteed to love.

At this venue, you can choose from one of their gourmet BBQs with live music, which is always a huge hit, or if you’re planning an indoor ceremony, they have several private event rooms with some having fireplaces and outdoor patios attached to them. We love the option of the fireplace, especially for those chilly nights at outdoor receptions.

5. The Reventé

The Reventé is one of our favorite venues in Southern California because of how unique it is! With its swanky Hollywood decor and ambiance, this place has so much character that your guests are sure to remember your big day for years to come due to how memorable it was! There’s nothing more luxurious than hosting your wedding at The Reventé, where they can cater food that matches their highly regarded restaurant on site. We love this idea because you can incorporate the food they make daily for your guests!

6. The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts

The Wallis is our favorite venue in the city of Santa Monica because it has all of these different areas that are perfect for hosting your wedding. Whether you’re looking to have it outdoors overlooking the ocean or something more intimate indoors, there are tons of options that will be sure to please everyone.

 We love that they do catering at their on-site restaurants, which allows you to choose from their existing menu, so you don’t have to worry about finding another caterer or having someone else’s food at your event. They also have a ton of bars on site, which is always great for guests to grab drinks whenever they like.

7. Trousdale Estates

If you’re looking for something that has an upscale Hollywood feel, then this venue is perfect because it’s in the center of it all! Trousdale Estates is located in Beverly Hills, so its proximity to the city makes these events exciting because you get to show off your wedding wherever you go! In addition, there are different areas on their property where they can host your wedding and reception, so there’s something here for everyone, no matter what size guest list or theme you have going on.  

For food, we love offering our guests the French cuisine that they would find at any of the top restaurants in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles. The French menu offers so much variety and would be a hit for your guests no matter what!

8. Pelican Hill Resort, Newport Beach

If you’re looking to host an event with a coastal backdrop, then Pelican Hill Resort is the perfect place for it! Being that they are located right on the water, there are gorgeous views from any area of their property, making these weddings unique because you get an ocean view without traveling very far away.  

Best of all, this venue has plenty of indoor features like ballrooms and private dining rooms if it’s too chilly out or rainy during your event, which we love because not every wedding can go off perfectly planned due to the weather. At Pelican Hill Resort, you can be sure that no matter what, they will have everything in order, so your guests and you don’t have to worry about a thing!

9. One LA

One LA is one of our favorite places to host weddings in Los Angeles because it has an urban vibe with its sleek decor and classy atmosphere. There are plenty of areas where they can host your event indoors or outdoors, and we love that their ballrooms feature huge windows that overlook Downtown Los Angeles giving it an open-air feel despite having all of the area’s amenities available on-site!

The staff at this venue goes out of their way to make sure every guest is treated like royalty, and we love that there’s a full bar and plenty of food for all of your guests to enjoy.

10. The Westin South Coast Plaza

The Westin is one of our favorite venues in Orange County because it has such a romantic and upscale feel! If you’re looking to host an event with a chic and modern atmosphere, this place would be perfect because we love how they make everything so elegant while keeping their decor clean and simple. There are different areas for hosting reception dinners or cocktail parties which allows you to build out your day around what’s essential, such as having dinner indoors or outdoors, depending on if it’s too hot outside or not!

  One other thing we love about this venue is that they have indoor space for your guests to mingle, which is great if you’re planning on having an outside cocktail party or dinner because it gives them a place to go if the weather isn’t cooperating with your wedding day!

11. The Henry Ford Museum

The Henry Ford has always been one of our favorite places in Los Angeles to host events like parties and weddings because there’s so much history surrounding the venue. In addition, they have several unique spaces for hosting these events, which makes things fun when it comes to determining where your guests will be able to mingle during the evening portion of your event.  

Another huge plus with this venue is that they offer catering right on location at their restaurant, Greenfield Cafe, which means that you can choose from their menu or work with your caterer to create whatever menu you’d like.

12 . The Stoneleigh Hotel, Pasadena

If you’re looking for a venue that offers an elegant and classic atmosphere, then The Stoneleigh is the place for you because it has everything you need all under one roof! In addition, several different rooms can be used for hosting your event, which means that there’s plenty of options for everyone, no matter what size your guest list might be.

We also love how they offer on-site catering, so there’s no need to look anywhere else when planning out your wedding day. No matter whether you choose to get married here or not, we think this hotel makes for some fantastic photo ops on its own too!

13. Ohana Beach Club

If you are looking for a beach wedding with amazing views, great food, and an all-inclusive package without the high price tag- look no further! We love Ohana Beach Club because it’s everything we want in a venue; they allow us to bring in our catering and bar service too! In addition, the views of the ocean from this venue are truly incredible. It is so picturesque! Ohana Beach Club also provides blue padded chairs for our guests to sit in.  

Ohana Beach Club has three different beach locations, each with its own very unique feel- one being more private than the other two. They are all gorgeous and offer amazing views of the ocean. They also have a dry location perfect for an indoor wedding if you decide to have bad weather on your big day! In addition, this venue can host small events up to significant events depending on how everything is set up!

  14. Los Angeles Center Studios

Los Angeles Center Studios is pretty much our favorite Los Angeles venue because it has something for everyone, no matter what type of event you are planning. If you want to host a private event there, they have various rooms for rent, such as the Studio Café and their lobby which makes it fun to get creative with how you host things. The space can fit up to 200 people and has fantastic views of downtown Los Angeles that we love!

Their largest room is called “The Grand Hall,” We love this venue because it allows us to create an unforgettable experience for our guests while keeping everything under one roof! It can fit upwards of 300 guests and 100 standing. We’re also huge fans of their photo booth too which includes 30+ people inside at once.
